Library commences exam campaign

UCD Libraries are extremely busy at present, at an earlier point in the pre-exam schedule than in recent years.  The James Joyce Library is seeing some 1,600 visitors on some days and as well as creating a very real danger of opportunistic theft, we are receiving considerable levels of user complaints about students leaving their belongings at a study space but vacating the Library for long periods of time.

We have therefore commenced a publicity campaign about this, comprising of flyers left on desks that are left unattended for longish periods of time, together with website, social media and poster messages in the libraries.
