Library works with UCD Student Ambassadors

James Molloy has been involved in UCD Teaching and Learning’s Student Digital Ambassadors initiative, which aims to provide students with the skills necessary for learning and working in a digital environment.

The Library has offered 3 activities to the 27 student ambassadors.  Our 3 activities are: Using UCD Library Digital Resources: sharing your experience; Guest Social Media Assistant at UCD Library; Developing A Library Orientation Resource (Video/Tutorial)

We are pleased to say that the 2 places in the first activity have been taken up!  Last week James hosted two 3rd Year students, Patrick English and Michael Tolan, who will collaborate with him during three scheduled sessions to produce a short Library Orientation video/tutorial for new students, using Captivate software. The finished product, which should be complete by mid-April, will be uploaded to our YouTube channel and used during next year’s orientation period.

More about the entire project is on the Teaching and Learning website here.
