Launch of PADDI online tutorial

PADDI is a unique resource for anyone interested in the fields of architecture, planning and the built environment in Ireland.

It is a free bibliographic database which is available to search on the web and has been created through the partnership of the libraries at Queen’s University Belfast and University College Dublin. www.paddi.net

A new video tutorial has been created demonstrating how to search PADDI and it is now available to view on YouTube at: www.youtube.com/watch?v=3OJNwRgFiB0

Jane Nolan, James Molloy and Angela Fox worked together on this project with Jane selecting content and writing text, Angela  (pictured) recording voice-over and James utilising Captivate software to join images from the PADDI database, the text and voice-over together.

Closed captions have been added to this short online tutorial in keeping with good universal design practice for users with visual impairments. Closed captions can be switched on and off.

The narration was recorded in IT Services new Media Creation Suite in the Daedalus building.
