An Easter Monday Cruinniú na Cásca special event with UCD Folklore Archivists

“In this Cruinniú na Cásca special event, UCD Folklore Archivists share audio gems from the National Folklore Collection and the stories behind them.

Speakers include Críostóir Mac Cárthaigh (Director, National Folklore Collection) who will give a talk on ‘Supernatural Dublin’; Anna Bale (Audio Archivist, National Folklore Collection) with a talk titled ‘Singing in the Rain’, discussing children’s street games and city sounds; and Jonny Dillon (Archivist, National Folklore Collection) speaking on the topic of ‘Fasting and Feasting: Easter Celebrations in Irish Folk Tradition”.
