It’s almost that time of the year again…UCD exams!
As we all know the library will be very busy from now until the end of May, with students coming in to study for the upcoming exams seven days a week.
Don’t be a Space Hog!
As always, study spaces in all five UCD Library locations will be at a premium. Spare a thought for your fellow students who are actively looking for somewhere to sit. If you’re leaving the Library for any length of time please take your things and free up the space.
We will once again be running our “Space Hog” campaign from Monday, 30 April during Revision Week and beyond. Look for our tweets and on our website homepage for more throughout the exams period.
Library Opening Hours
We are currently open longer in the run-up to exams, and on the weekends just before and during exams (5-6 & 13-13 May) we will extend the hours in the James Joyce Library even further, from 8am until 12 midnight on both Saturday and Sunday. See our full timetable for details, and for the hours of our other locations.
Late Night Study in Astra Hall
Once again UCD Students’ Union is offering late night study in the Astra Hall (Student Centre), from 11pm – 2am Monday – Friday from Wednesday, 2 May until Wednesday, 16 May. On the Bank Holiday Monday (7 May) the times will be 11pm – 3am. Astra Hall will also be open on Sunday, 13 May for study from 11pm – 2am.
Remember to take frequent breaks, stretch your legs and eat properly! Look out for more tips for staying healthy throughout this period on our various social media channels.
Our Health and Wellbeing collection of books, found in both the James Joyce and Health Sciences Libraries, can give you tips on mindfulness and managing stress. See our guide where you can browse the titles we have on offer. In addition, our study skills collection pulls together books you can use to study more efficiently too.
Thank you, and the best of luck with the studying!
